At the CITA Conference in Dubai, the QM Association presented the results of its work in ensuring the quality of German vehicle inspection. The focus was on the successes and working methods of the QM Association and on quality development. In connection with the challenges involved in setting up national supervisory bodies for quality in vehicle inspection, Viktor Kretzschmann, head of the QM Association's office, highlighted the high requirements for staff qualifications and the activities of these bodies. The limitations and possibilities of the various quality measurement methods and the recommendation for closed control loops for effective quality work were the focus of the previous day's presentations. The questions in the subsequent discussion round once again confirmed the great interest in the German model.
Dr. Neumann, Head of DEKRA Automotive, and Dr Plank, Head of TÜV NORD Mobility, gave presentations on the role of quality assurance in monitoring organisations and the impact of the new regulations on the further development of vehicle monitoring.
The CITA General Assembly previously adopted ‘CITA Recommendations No. 9 and 18’ – ‘Quality Requirements’ and ‘Training & Competence’ – to which the QM Association contributed significantly.
