Viktor Kretzschmann, Branch Manager of the Association for Quality Management in Vehicle Inspection (QM e.V.), has been appointed by the CITA Bureau Permanent to the working group ‘Standardised Inspection Outcomes’. Kretzschmann will take on the role of Technical Expert for Quality (TE).
Over the past four years, QM e.V. has gained extensive experience with the quality initiative. This experience gained in Germany will now be incorporated into the further development and harmonisation of periodic technical vehicle inspections (PTI) through the cooperation of the QM representative at European level.
CITA is an international non-profit organisation based in Brussels, Belgium. It represents all types of organisations and interest groups from government, the private sector, testing institutions, workshops and manufacturers of testing equipment.
Its common interest is the exchange of information, the development of best practices and international draft standards in the field of periodic technical vehicle inspections.
Gemeinsames Interesse ist der Austausch von Informationen, die Entwicklung von Best Practices und internationalen Norm-Entwürfen im Bereich der periodisch-technischen Fahrzeugüberwachung.
The work focuses on improving the sustainability of transport, with particular emphasis on road safety and environmental protection.
CITA is recognised for its expertise in technical inspections by the European Commission and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (in particular ‘WP 29, the World Forum for Harmonisation of Vehicle Regulations’). CITA currently has around 120 members in over 50 countries worldwide, who are responsible for more than 250 million vehicle inspections each year.
