A research project conducted by the Federal Highway Research Institute has now confirmed the successful work of the Association for Quality Management in Vehicle Monitoring.
The Berlin-based association has examined the quality of the general inspections (HU) required for new cars after three years and every two years thereafter. The results of recent years show that the quality of the HU is steadily improving. The association thus also supports the state authorities responsible for supervising the HU. Motorists can generally be confident that their cars are in a technical condition that meets the legal requirements.
The testing organisations affiliated with the Q-Verein carry out a total of 90% of all general inspections in Germany. They see this as confirmation of their joint commitment. Their work makes a significant contribution to improving road safety. Particularly with regard to the mutual recognition of technical inspections throughout Europe, uniform control standards are necessary, which must be implemented and monitored by independent bodies. The members of the Association for Quality Management in Vehicle Inspection will evaluate the research project intensively and take the findings into account in their future work. The Q-Verein is thus consistently pursuing the path it has been following for many years.
